How does my Score work?

Everything you need to know about how Mothership measures your performance.

Mothership features a metrics-driven scoring system. Your score is an average of your 50 most recent stops. After each stop, factors such as on-time pickup, delivery, and cancelations are used to calculate a score ranging from 0-100. Scores are driven by your performance and may fluctuate as you complete more work.

How we calculate your score:

  • On-time pickup rate = # of pickups completed on time/total # of pick-up stops. You are on time when you arrive within 30 minutes of the arrival window.

  • On-time delivery rate = # of deliveries completed on time/total # of delivery stops. You are on time when you arrive within 30 minutes of the arrival window.

  • Cancelation rate = # of offers canceled/total offers accepted. Cancelation rates reflect the most recent 50 offers accepted.

Each score falls into the following tiers:

  • "Bad" = 60-69

  • "Okay" = 70-89

  • "Good" = 90-94

  • "Great" = 95-100

Is there a minimum score that I need to maintain?
To ensure that shippers have a high-quality experience, carriers below a score of 60 become ineligible for dispatches. There is a 30-day period before low-scoring carriers get suspended.

Why don't I have a score yet?
New Mothership carriers will receive a score once they've completed 10 or more stops.

How can I improve my rating?
Your score is designed to give you a real-time, comprehensive look into your performance. If you are a new carrier, you have fewer stops factoring into your average score. Since your score is calculated on a rolling basis, it will become more stable as you complete more loads.

Do canceled loads affect my score?
Cancelations are highly discouraged and negatively impact your score. The Mothership app intelligently matches carriers with loads, and cancelations lower the reliability of our network. Cancelation rates reflect the most recent 50 accepted offers.

Can shippers affect my score?
While shippers cannot provide a rating, they can still report their experiences to our team. Negative experiences can lead to suspension.

To provide the best possible experience, keep these practices in mind:

  • Timeliness - Arrive within 30 minutes of the arrival window.

  • Professionalism - Always strive for clear and respectful communication with shippers.

  • Efficiency - Keep your truck well-maintained, and ensure there is enough space for the loads you accept throughout the day.
